A COCAINE addict, jailed for the savage mugging of a Woolwich pensioner, has now been charged with manslaughter.
The addict, Richard Coker, aged 44, of Wellington Gardens, Charlton, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court to four years for the robbery of Flo Tatton which took place on January 30, last year.
Coker was taken from prison to Plumstead police station to be charged with manslaughter of Mrs Tatton on or before October 17, 2002.
This was the day she died. The great grandmother had remained in constant medical care following the attack.
Coker was bailed and appeared at Belmarsh Magistrates' Court yesterday to be formally charged.
