PEOPLE living near a Bexley rugby club face a fifth mobile mast close to their homes.
Hutchinson 3G is the latest mobile phone firm to want a mast near the Old Dartfordians, in Bourne Road, Bexley.
It wants to put up a 15m timber monopole with three antennae and a microwave dish, together with equipment cabinets and a radio base station.
Vodaphone already has a mast on the rugby ground. On the pavement on the opposite side of the road to the club, OneTel has a monopole.
A few hundred yards away, both Orange and O2 have masts and equipment on the roof of the telephone exchange in Southwold Road.
Write to Bexley Council for the attention of Leslie Sayers, Wyncham House, Longlands Road, Sidcup, quoting reference number 03/00053/GPDO8, before February 14.
O2 has applied to site a 12.5m mast and two equipment cabins next to the A2 slip road at the Danson Interchange at East Rochester Way, Sidcup.
