A SALSA extravaganza will take place in Greenwich next week, in aid of children affected by unrest in foreign countries.
Fundraiser Paula Kerr hopes to raise £15,000 to donate to War Child and ex-Arsenal footballer Bob Wilson's charity, the Willow Foundation, which offers days out for terminally-ill young people.
The entertainment at The Salsa Ball, at the Trafalgar Tavern, Park Row, on February 7, 8pm includes 12-piece salsa band Orquesta Cache, a Latin dance cabaret and a competition to win a dinner for two at the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane, London.
Paula said: "Bob Wilson and his wife Meggs Wilson will attend the ball and, together I hope we will raise the necessary funds."
