THE life of Queen Elizabeth I will be explored in a major international exhibition in Greenwich.
Commemorating the 400th anniversary of her death, Elizabeth the exhition, will be held at the National Maritime Museum from May 1, this year.
Both Elizabeth and her father Henry VIII were born at Greenwich Palace, on the site of what is now Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Centre.
Many of the 350 items have never been on public display before. The exhibition will feature a mother of pearl, ruby and diamond ring, love letters from suitors and portraits of the queen.
