A GREENWICH organisation praised by the Met Police for its success in protecting more than 4,000 homes against burglary has won a grant of £18,000.
The cash was awarded to Homesafe, which is part of the Greenwich Community Trust, by the Government's neighbourhood renewal scheme, Pathfinder.
It will be phased in over the next three years with the first instalment of £8,000 going towards a new van and paying for up to 60 security locks to be fitted in the homes of victims of crime in the Woolwich area. A further 120 locks will be fitted in the next two years.
For more information on Homesafe, call 020 8855 8488.
