A FRENCH restaurant has been short-listed out of more than 6,000 London eateries for a top award.
La Trompette in Devonshire Road, Chiswick, has been hand-picked by judges of the Tio Pepe Carlton London Restaurant Awards 2003 for the title of French Restaurant of the Year.
Chris Yates, general manager at La Trompette, was delighted the restaurant had been chosen by judges. He said: "We are delighted that we have been short-listed especially in the category that we are in. To be up with restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay's restaurant is fantastic. We don't always imagine we're going to get that kind of notoriety."
The is the seventh year of the prestigious restaurant awards and is widely recognised as the most exciting and high profile event in London's restaurant calendar. The winners will be revealed at a star-studded awards dinner at Le Meridien Grosvenor House, Park Lane, on March 10.
