A Finchley divorce lawyer is set to turn TV presenter when her Channel 4 series starts next week.

Vanessa Lloyd Platt, who runs Lloyd Platt & Company in Regents Park Road, stars in the six-part series Made For Each Other, which is a cross between reality TV and marriage guidance counselling.

Mrs Lloyd Platt is no stranger to the TV cameras, having appeared regularly on GMTV and other programmes such as Esther and Kilroy.

In the series couples with problems are filmed with CCTV cameras in their homes for two weeks before having the footage scrutinised by Mrs Lloyd-Platt and psychologist Malcolm Stern. The experts then discuss with the couple what they have been doing right or wrong.

"Some of it's funny, some of it's extremely sad, but it's all really punchy," she said.

"Each of the couples have got an issue like 'should they get married or move to New Zealand' or having a baby and that's the basis on which we're supposed to be looking at them. But we're coming up with all sorts of stuff that happens each week.

"In the first programme this beautiful girl has a problem in that she wants more sex, and you can't believe he her partner doesn't realise this beautiful, stunning girl wants to be bedded and you find yourself absolutely screaming 'don't be so stupid'.

"When we came to meet them I couldn't help saying 'what Katie needs is to be picked up, thrown on the bed and shown the business'."
