DESPITE a fine performance, Watford Reserves' excellent ten game unbeaten run ended at Top Field on Tuesday, January 28, as they suffered a 2-1 Herts Senior Cup quarter-final defeat after extra-time against Hitchin Town.
A Young Hornets line-up created plenty of chances, but they had to wait until two minutes into the additional half hour for Elliott Godfrey to give them the lead following a fine build-up.
However, Watford were undone by two goals in the second extra 15 minutes as Hitchin progressed to meet Berkhamsted Town in the semi-finals.
