Capital Radio DJ Steve Penk has shown his support for Barnet's very own Eurovision hopeful by playing his tune on his show.
Danny Davies, who has made it to the final eight of the UK's Song for Europe competition, said he was amazed the famous radio presenter liked his song.
He liked it so much, in fact, that he played the ballad, Wait for the Moment, throughout the week.
Danny, 30, from Finchley, said: "It was total luck, and it was just bizarre. My song has had a lot of air time."
He explained he sent Steve an email asking if he wanted to play his song, and sent in a demo CD. He was very surprised when Steve phoned him back, on air, a couple of days later.
He said: "Steve got the CD on Sunday, and liked my song. He played extracts of the track on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. I'm really pleased."
As he played the song on his show, Steve said he thought Danny's song should represent the UK, and was hopeful it would blow the other Eurovision entries out of the water.
Danny's Eurovision offering sung by Esther Hart, who he has described as a Dutch Christina Aguilera has been played, along with the eight other contenders for Song for Europe, all this week on BBC Radio 2.
Listen to tomorrow's broadcast for the number to ring to vote for Danny between 9am and 11am.
