A man was attacked outside McDonalds in St Albans Road, Watford, on Tuesday, January 21.
The 34-year-old was walking through the car park when he was approached by two men wearing dark coloured baseball caps and baggy clothing.
They asked him for money and, when he refused, they hit him on the heard with a metal bar.
He fell to the ground and was kicked in the back.
One took his wallet before both men made off on foot still holding the metal bar.
One is described as black, 6ft 2ins tall and the other is black and 5ft 10ins.
