THE pitch was barely playable with puddles everywhere, but Borehamwood made a very lively start, scoring within the first 12 minutes when Dean Skipsey played the ball to Sam O'Connell, who rounded the keeper and slotted home.
Within seven minutes, the lead had doubled after another flowing move, which included good work from Grant Hudson and Kieran Johnson, who played it the ball to Karl Stephens, and he beat two players then put a great cross onto Stuart Blackburn's head.
Blackburn then made it three with a volley from another cross from Stephens, who then got what he fully deserved with a good run and shot which sent the keeper the wrong way.
The second-half was more of the same with Borehamwood dominating, but a slip at the back allowed Celtic to pull one back.
However, Borehamwood lifted their game and scored two more from Blackburn Kieran Johnson to run out easy 6-1 winners.
