LEYTON went into this match looking to strengthen their position of second place in the table and it didn't take them long to strike as a second minute goal was headed home by Jeff Wood.
Leyton struck again in the 20th minute with a thunderous drive into the top corner from all of 35 yards by Manny Williams and added a third when Jeff Woods neatly flicked to Williams to slot home his second.
In the Leyton goal, Hassel comfortably saved an 18-yard free kick on the half hour mark and the final chance of the half saw Jeff Woods' lob from 20 yards just clear the bar.
The first real action of the second half came in the 49th minute when Curley fired wide from 18 yards and six minutes later another Roy Parkyn free kick was met by a Woods effort which went just wide.
Manny Williams completed his hat trick two minutes before the hour mark, pouncing on to a Soteriou pass to place the ball past the keeper from 15 yards.
Williams grabbed his fourth five minutes later when he outpaced a defender, rounded the keeper and slotted home from 10 yards.
Soon afterwards George Gregoriou made a welcome return from injury when he replaced Manny Williams and began to make an immediate impact on the game.
It was a majestic performance and one which bodes well for the future.
Leyton: Hassel, B Wood, Tucker, Fenn, Thomas, Soteriou, Mahoney (sub: Peddie), Parkyn, J Wood, Curley, (Abdullah), Williams (Gregoriou).
