The Streatham Business Partnership For Change, which aims to encourage local businesses to get more involved in tackling challenges in the borough, has just been officially launched at a business breakfast.
The event, held at Holmes Place Health Club, Ockley Road brought together businesses, business support organisations and Lambeth Council representatives.
St Leonard's Councillor, Brian Palmer said: "Streatham businesses have a vital role to play in improving the area.
"We welcome their active participation in developing the Local Strategic Partnership with us."
The Streatham Business Tool Kit and the Business Advice And Support Clinic was also launched at the meeting, attended by Streatham MP Keith Hill, as well as representatives of Lambeth Small Business Growth Initiative, South Bank Employers' Group and Job Centre Plus.
Local Strategic Partnerships is a Government initiative which aims to involve all members of the community in the delivery of local services.
