Sir, Congratulations to the John Groomes organisation for their initiative re playground bullying towards children with a disability.
I see from your letters page that the organisation seeks to point out that disabled people are basically no different to the so-called able-bodied.
Older children however may be perplexed by this idea as in other lessons they will learn of the discrimination practised by the law towards disabled unborn babies.
They may even be astute enough to question the difference between playground verbal abuse and the adult habit of totally annihilating the unborn when handicapped.
Let us hope John Grooms' scheme will serve a dual purpose in educating both the children and their educators.-Mrs Josie Goble, Arlington Road, East Twickenham.
