Cobham 18
Old Mid-Whitgiftian 23
The Old Mids visited Cobham on Saturday for a crucial return London 2 fixture having lost at home earlier in the season.
The visitors started slowly, missing too many tackles and conceding too many penalties.
The second half started with Old Mids pinning Cobham back in their own 22. Continued infringement at the breakdown gave Dan Crouch a simple opportunity for 3-points and brought the scores level (15-15).
Midwives then dominated proceedings and Stuart Higgins timed his pass to perfection to release Paul Warren-Tape who finished in fine-style from thirty metres and produce the best try of the game to give the Mids a 5-point lead (15-20).
The 18-23 win has pushed the Mids up four places in the league.
