A MULTIPLE sclerosis sufferer from Stanmore has been fined £1000 for noise nuisance.
Michael Nunn brought the civil action against Elizabeth Bord, one of his neighbours on Acacia Close, as he said that the level of noise emanating from the house that she shares with her two adult sons was unacceptable.
The case reached a conclusion on Friday after months of delays when the court agreed with Mr Nunn claims that there had been constant shouting, continous beeping from cars and loud music coming from the house. Two neighbours backed his version of events.
Mrs Bord was not present at the trail as she had earlier left the court, when her request to have a Mackenzie friend, a legal term for someone who helps you in court, was refused.
Mrs Bord told the Times: "I am very ill and my son James has an Attention Deficit Disorder, which means that he sometimes raises his voice to try to get attention although he has now recieved treatment. My neighbours are aware of the situation."
