Travelling home this evening by tube, bus, car or train? Not sure whether the snow and ice may impede your way? Here are all the web links that will allow you to find out the latest updates about the state of your route home.

From Transport for London (TfL)

- Tube service information - Real-time service information updates on all tube lines. Find out what's delayed, and what's been cancelled. First port of call for most commuters.

- Bus service information - Real-time bus service reports. Can't tell you exactly whether your bus is going to be late, but can tell you whether there's a service running on your route at all.

- Tram service information - As above, but for the trams. At time of writing, all lines appear to be running a normal service across south London.

- National Rail service alterations - This should update you as to any disruptions to services from any station in the country. At the time of writing, however (11.15am, 31 Jan 03), the 'Reported Current Disruptions' page was unavailable.

- National Rail live departure boards - Listed by region and by station, these pages allow you to view the current expected departure times of trains from every station in the UK.
