The 13-year-old Belmont boy accused of raping two girls made his first appearance at Kingston Crown Court on Tuesday.
The teenager, who cannot be named after the judge made a court order, appeared for a plea and directions hearing.
The case was adjourned until February 12 because the defence and prosecution teams are awaiting evidence in the form of videotaped witness statements and written transcripts before a plea can be made.
Appearing with his mother and wearing a black suit and shirt, the schoolboy, who is more than 6ft, spoke only to confirm his name.
He is charged with raping a 15-year-old girl on September 30 and a 13 year old on November 4. Both attacks are alleged to have happened at private addresses in Sutton.
The prosecution said there may be problems fixing a trial date, if the case goes that far, because some of the witnesses are taking exams this year.
He was bailed on condition that he does not contact the alleged victims or go within 500 metres of their school, which he used to attend.
The teenager was due to start at another school in the borough today (Thursday).
He must also live at his home in Belmont.
