Relate, Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow, the relationship counsellors, has been talking to trainee doctors about sexual counselling and the general work that the service undertakes.
The specialists were invited to the <a href="http://http://www.rbh.nthames.nhs.uk/isa/west%20mid.html">West Middlesex Hospital</a> were a group of 15 postgraduates was fascinated to learn of the work.
Prime among their many provoking questions was how to refer patients.
Relate offers couple, sexual and post natal counselling.
Workshops are also run for individuals and businesses on stress management, self esteem, managing emotional clients, commitment (marriage preparation), parenting and a course for separated partners on life after the break.
Relate are running workshops which cover topics covering life skills and relationship issues.
The workshops are intended to be informal, friendly, down to earth and tailored to suit those taking part.
Life after the break A two day workshop for people who have divorced or separated. Have you lost your confidence since your relationship with your partner ended? Do you feel isolated, depressed, angry or rejected?
Saturdays February 8th and 15th, 9.30am-4.30pm in Kingston.
Taking charge of your life A For anyone who wants to make changes to their life. A workshop for individuals who would like to enhance their self esteem, increase their confidence and explore their goals.
Stress What is stress? What drives you? Managing stress and a stress control plan.
Marriage commitment A chance for couples to look at their relationship before entering into a long term commitment, with time to focus on relevant issues.
