Dulwich Hamlet manager Martin Eede has criticised defender Danny Ward for getting himself sent off in last Saturday's 1-0 Ryman defeat at Windsor & Eton.

Ward was handed a red card for stamping when Windsor tried to run the clock down in their Ryman League Division One clash.

"His actions were totally unprofessional and he will be dealt with in-house," said Eede.

Dulwich looked to have earned a valuable point against their promotion rivals, but conceded a goal in the 82nd minute.

"It was disappointing because we had almost done enough to share the points against the league's in-form team," said the manager.

"We knew it would be a tough match and we went with a cautious approach.

"Even so, we created some good chances and Eben Allen came close when he hit the post."

The result means Dulwich again failed to take advantage of slip-ups by sides around them in the table.

But Eede insists Dulwich, who have another six-pointer at home to Lewes on Saturday, can still have a say when the promotion places are decided.

"We can still up there. Both Horsham and Carshalton lost at the weekend," he said.

Meanwhile, Eade is backing newly-signed striker Jermain Amanual to come good.

The former Lewes player has yet to find the scoresheet since moving to Champion Hill.

But Eede said: "I don't believe has had the chance to show his true ability since being signed from Lewes, where he was successful. He is not yet match-fit and has been struggling with injury."

One player who appears to be hending out of Dulwich Hamlet is striker Steffan Ball, who is being lined up for a move to Division One South rivals Bromley.

Eede said: "I have a lot of time for Steffan, but he is impatient.

"He is not ready to start every game at the moment and I doubt whether any manager will be able to offer him that.

"But as far as I am concerned, Omari Coleman and Eben Allen are my main strikers at the moment."
