Ham Gate in Richmond Park is closed to traffic for four weeks from January 6th.
The Royal Parks Agency has closed the gates to vehicles to enable contractors to undertake repairs and restoration of the gates themselves.
The gates are being scaffolded, shot blasted, repainted and repaired where necessary.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works and advance warning signs are being erected to advise drivers to use alternative routes in and out of Richmond Park during the works.
Bushy Park: Traffic gates open 6.30am. Closing time as Richmond Park. During culls the traffic gates open at 7.30am and the pedestrian gates close at midnight. The pedestrian gates are locked at 10.30pm and are open by 5am, until further notice, following incidents of vandalism. Woodland Gardens 9am-dusk. 8979 1586. Closing times are subject to change.
Borough parks run by Richmond upon Thames Council open at 7.30am Monday-Saturday and at 9am on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Closing time until Sunday February 9th: 4.30pm. Locking commences 20 minutes before closing. Parks and Open Spaces 8831 6115.
