Vandals have covered Twickenham Bowling Club in graffiti leaving members worried that an old problem has come back to haunt them.
Rex Worsley, a member of the Radnor Gardens Club, said part of the problem was that the buildings were closed for half the year.
He said: "The buildings are left to the luck of the gods during the winter months."
He added that it will be a problem for the members to get rid of the graffiti, which has returned only a few years after vandals broke in, took club equipment and threw it in the river.
He said: "They have covered the club house, the ladies' club, the equipment room and the shutters.
"We thought we had got rid of this problem and now we get another dose.
"We will have to clean the graffiti off eventually but it will be difficult for us as we are not teenagers, we are staid people."
