Throughout the year, whatever the weather, helpers at the Queen Elizabeth's Foundation shops in East Molesey, Tolworth and Wallington turn up for their particular session to ensure the shop is open six days a week.
This helps raise money for the foundation's work with disabled people.
May I through your columns pay public tribute to our dedicated and committed volunteers and to those who help other charities who give so generously and freely of their time.
Without their support, our ability to raise much-needed funds for people with disabilities would be greatly reduced.
May we also thank all our customers who support our shop by donating unwanted items, which we sell, and also to those who turn up and buy our gifts.
We greatly value and appreciate their support.
Thank you very much for all your help.
