GENEROUS pupils of Istead Rise Primary School have held a Blue Peter bring-and-buy sale for charity.
The children brought in pocket money, toys and cakes and raised £200 for the BBC1 programme's 2003 Water Works project, which aims to bring fresh water to Ugandan and Tanzanian villages.
Roger Brown, headteacher of the Downs Road school, in Northfleet, said: "We encourage our pupils to support this kind of activity as it helps them appreciate the challenges experienced by children in other parts of the world.
"I am particularly proud of the team from Year Six which sent away for the Water Works activity pack and organised the whole event."
