Local anti-war activists and school pupils joined a march to Brixton town centre on Saturday organised by the South London Stop the War Coalition.
Around 70 demonstrators including students from Tooting's Graveney School (left) met at Clapham South tube station and joined up with 700 peace protesters from Southwark and Lambeth.
In a spontaneous speech at the rally, one of the Graveney pupils called on workers to follow the example of some school students and walk out of work in protest against the war on Iraq.
The Stop the War Coalition has called on workers to do this on May 1.
