HURST PLACE (BEXLEY) WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
Another eventful year, much enjoyed by all, some of the events that have taken place include: tea with a celebrity' National Theatre, lunch at Tenterden WI, tea at Appledore WI both greatly enjoyed and we highly recommend this treat. Smallhythe Vineyard (where the heavens opened so it was a good excuse for a free sample tasting).
Numerous theatre and concert trips remain very popular thanks to Jean Jeffries who organises them.
An Xmas lunch at Lewisham College and a gourmet lunch at Westminster College, a visit to the Inns of Court, Temple Restaurant for lunch - what a lovely setting to have your lunch in daily! Also an excellent afternoon tea at Fortnum and Masons.
Speakers (subjects) particularly enjoyed included Noel Coward, More Backstage Humour and a demonstration of Tai Chi Chuan.
A trip to Bury St Edmonds, returning via picturesque Lavenham. There is also the ongoing weekly ten pin bowling and a successful craft group.
