ON THE RUN: Runners are being called to take part in the North Downs 30k Run, which takes in part of historic Cobham and Shorne Wood Park. The annual race raises funds for charities. Entry for the event on June 26 is £12. Call Bill Archer on 01732 823726.
TOUR DATE: A tour around Cobham village with historian Peter Hartley has been organised by the Gravesend Historical Society for June 26. Meet in the car park behind Cobham School at 2.30pm. The cost is £1. For details, call Sandra Soder on 01474 363998.
BOOK IN: A coffee and chat book group is meeting on June 27 to discuss books with the topic War Heroines. The get-together takes place at King Farm Library, Sun Lane, Gravesend, from 2.30pm to 3.30pm.
MUSEUM DAY: The Gravesham Museum will open between 10.30am and 2.30pm on June 25. It is located in the former police station on Gravesend High Street. Admission is free.
