POLICE are warning criminals they are being watched after six gang members were convicted for attacking two students.
The 16-year-old Orpington College students were set upon by up to 20 thugs in the Walnuts shopping centre in September last year.
One student was punched and kicked, the other stabbed twice in the chest, Croydon Crown Court heard.
The victim recovered after a life-saving operation at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.
Detective Constable Keith Hick, of Bromley CID, said: "CCTV was instrumental in convicting these men."
On June 3, knifeman Kofi Ahenkora, aged 19, of Lee, was given four years in prison for wounding with intent, affray and possession of cannabis.
Charles Annan, aged 21,of Charlton, received 200 hours community service and Adebayo Lawrence, aged 21, of Woolwich, got eight months in prison, both for violent disorder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Simon Ochen, aged 20, of Deptford, received 200 hours community service; a 14-year-old Woolwich youth has a 12-month supervision order and a 16-year-old from Charlton received 125 hours community service - all for violent disorder and assault.
