A TOWN centre is saying it with flowers by launching a scheme to bring a splash of colour to shops.
Gravesend's tourist information centre, Towncentric, launched the Splash of Colour flower power project at a ceremony on June 10.
More than 160 businesses and shops on Gravesend's precinct, riverside and Heritage Quarter will be hanging around 700 flower baskets to brighten up the shopping experience.
Splash of Colour is a partnership between businesses and Gravesham Council, where partners sponsor the flower displays and their care and maintenance during the summer.
Towncentric employees will be watering, weeding and feeding the flowers.
Towncentric says the scheme will help to promote a store as well as improve visitors' perceptions of the town.
