STUDENT mentors have been teaching youngsters how to play cricket.
Eight Orpington College students studying the BTEC Sports Leadership Programme have been working with pupils from Poverest Primary School throughout the school year.
The final event was a cricket tournament held at the school in Tillingbourne Green, St Mary Cray, on June 8. Thirty-six pupils from Year 5 got involved.
Deputy-headteacher Matt Defreitas said: "The day was a great success. The children were encouraged to enjoy a team game."
