SCHOOLCHIDREN enjoyed an afternoon paying tribute to Second World War heroes.
More than 550 children from primary schools across Woolwich attended a street party at the Firepower Royal Artillery Museum, Woolwich.
The fun involved street entertainers and a band playing songs from the era.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and museum spokesman Bob Lindridge said: "We thought the day was ideal to fit in with the needs of their curriculum. The response from the children was great."
