RASH DECISION: A nappy picnic and nappy stalls are part of Real Nappy Week in Bexley next week, encouraging parents and carers to use realnappies instead of disposables. There will be nappy stalls in the shopping mall in Bexleyheath next Monday from 9.30am until 4.30pm; St Peter Chanel Primary School, Baugh Road, Foots Cray, on Tuesday from 3pm to 4pm and Slade Green Infants School, Slade Green Road, on June 24 from 8.30am to 9.30am. The nappy picnic takes place in Hall Place Gardens, Bourne Road, Bexley, also on June 24.
STREET MEETINGS: A street briefing with police takes place tomorrow at the roundabout in Burnell Avenue, Welling, at 7pm and another in the memorial gardens near the Megabowl, Albion Road, Bexleyheath at 7pm on Monday.
FLOWER SHOW: Bexleyheath and District Rose Society holds its 44th annual show at the Boys' Brigade centre in Bexleyheath Broadway, next to Christ Church, from 1.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday. Admission is 50p for adults, 25p for children.
THE CHIPS ARE DOWN: Bexley Council is backing a campaign encouraging pet owners to have their cats and dogs micro-chipped by a vet, to help with identification if they get lost or stolen.
GRAND PLAN: Sidcup Town Centre Partnership holds its next meeting at the New Generation Centre, Birkbeck Road, Sidcup on June 23 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm, where the Local (Transport) Implementation Plan will be explained.
