A SMALL team of volunteers is being recruited by a support group to help with a welfare benefits project.

Carers Support (Bexley) is looking for people who can spare three or four hours a week to visit carers in their homes and help them fill in benefit claim forms.

Volunteers need to have good communications skills both written and oral and an understanding of the stresses and strains which carers face.

Although it would be an advantage to have some knowledge of the benefits system, it is not a requirement, as training will be given.
