THE Greek god of music would surely be miffed to hear the sound failed at a recent gig because a technician got drunk. But this is exactly what happened to south east London band Youth of Orpheum at a recent gig. Bass guitarist and group spokesman Matt Woodcock refuses to divulge exactly where the unfortunate incident occurred but rates it as their worst gig.
Youth of Orpheum Orpheum derived from the Greek word for god of music is an indie rock and roll band inspired by the likes of The Verve, Oasis and The Stone Roses.
The four members; Woodcock, 23, Paul Atkins, 24, Bobby Watling, 24, and Dan Town, 23, are in the process of trying to make it big.
Woodcock said: "Performing is great. The audience is standing still to begin with and by the end they're dancing. It's such a buzz."
Youth of Orpheum have just recorded an EP, called Who Has Your Meaning?
