A MOTHER who lost a close friend to cancer two years ago has been inspired to walk 36 miles across London in aid of charity.
Rosalind Tate, of Rookery Gardens, St Mary Cray, will take on the Breakthrough Breast Cancer walk in September.
On a course spanning London she will walk the first 18 miles before camping overnight and finishing the route the following day.
The 37-year-old teaching assistant said: "I don't want to see this happen to anyone else. By raising money I know it will make a difference."
Mrs Tate is also running a charity stall from noon on July 9 at St Mary Cray Primary School, St Mary Cray High Street, to raise funds.
Anyone wishing to sponsor her should call 01689 608805.
