SCHOOLCHILDREN have managed to raise more than £130 by selling their unwanted books, CDs and videos.

Edgebury Primary School's 230 pupils spent their pocket money on items donated by fellow classmates at a bring-and-buy sale in aid of Queen Mary's Hospital, Sidcup.

The sale, at the school in Belmont Lane, Chislehurst, was held as part of a healthy living week.

The proceeds were given to the hospital's neonatal unit on May 31.

Ward sister Jenni Bell said: "We are so grateful to the students.

"Their generous donation is greatly appreciated and will be used to buy equipment to help sick babies get the best possible start in life."
