A SCHOOLBOY has won a national competition to design a badge for a walk-to-school scheme.

The badge designed by Ryan Cattermore, aged five, from Valley School, Beckenham Lane, Bromley, will now be worn by children across the country.

His design was chosen from thousands of entries in the Walk On Wednesday (WoW) competition, which was organised by Transport for London.

Bromley Council's school travel plans officer Louise French said: "We need to encourage even more children to walk to school.

"Those taking part in the WoW challenge will soon get to know Ryan's badge design."
