DOING its bit to keep the town centre safe, The Mall in Bexleyheath Broadway has given £5,000 to the Bexleyheath Town Safe project.
The money will be used by the project to help fund its intelligence officer Val Hines.
Aimed at cutting crime in Bexleyheath town centre, Town Safe is a network of traders who collect and share information about shoplifters, vandals and people behaving in an anti-social manner.
Membership, which is open to all businesses in the town centre, gives members access to computer databases, a radio system, photographs of known offenders and the latest crime prevention policies.
The Mall has previously paid for two new radios and four mountain bikes for police.
