FOOTBALL-MAD teenagers have been helping raise money for a good cause in their community by putting their shooting boots on.
Two under-16 teams played a charity match against each other to raise £700 for the Lions Hospice, Coldharbour Road, Gravesend.
Kingsmoore Football Club, from Welling, beat Istead United Colts 3-0.
The game was held at Gravesend and Northfleet FC's ground in Stonebridge Road, Northfleet.
Welling School pupil Lewis Phillips, 16, was the star player, scoring a hat-trick.
Kingsmoore under-16 manager Martin Dezille said: "It was a great night. I hope playing a charity match has encouraged the boys to get more involved in the community."
