A HOST of events are on offer over the next two weeks to celebrate community action for a better quality of life.
London Sustainability Week 2005 is about creating a cleaner, greener and healthier London and groups across Bexley have organised activities which members of the public can take part in.
The action started on Sunday with a River Cray clean-up day at Waterside, Crayford; fence repairs at Lesnes Abbey Woods, Abbey Wood; reed planting at Crossness Nature Reserve, Abbey Wood, and creating a recycling logo flower bed at Hall Place, Bexley.
Other events include more clean-ups and invasive species control for the River Cray, a bird survey at East Wickham Open Space, Welling, woodland management at Joydens Wood, a community fun day in Crayford and a wildlife site open day in Sidcup.
The events will run until June 19.
