SAUSAGES were swapped for lightsabres in an intergalactic puppet show which entertained youngsters and adults alike.

Husband and wife team Brian and Alison Davey, who run the Dorset-based Puppetree Company, treated viewers to a Star Wars-themed performance at the Walnuts shopping centre in Orpington High Street.

Traditional Punch was played by Darth Vader and Judy became Princess Leia to entertain more than 200 children enjoying their half-term break on June 2.

Brian Davey said: "There was a lot of laughing going on, the children really liked it especially as they knew the characters. We got some excellent feedback from the parents too."
