AFTER-SCHOOL practice paid off for one group of youngsters as they scooped another piece of silverware for the trophy cabinet.
Boys and girls at Upton Primary School, Upton Road, Bexleyheath, stayed behind every week after school to practice their tag rugby skills before taking part in the tag rugby tournament organised by Bexley Rugby Football Club at its ground off Old Bexley Lane.
The 10-strong squad missed out on the cup final but battled their way through to win the plate competition.
This is the third year the school has competed in tag rubgy competitions and the game has proved popular with both boys and girls.
