CONFUSION over planning applications could be a thing of the past thanks to a new document.
Sevenoaks District Council has drawn-up Planning for People and given it to the Government's Planning Inspectorate after consultation with residents in December.
It explains how residents will be notified and consulted over applications.
The council will put up notices and take out advertisements in the press, as well as encouraging developers to speak to communities about their plans.
When the council makes a decision on an application it will put details on its website and write to those who have commented.
Visit the website sevenoaks.gov.uk/planningfor people or Swanley Council office for more details.
