SLITHERING snakes and bird-eating spiders wowed youngsters at a charity day.
John Green, 33, an avid reptile and arachnid collector, thrilled 60 children with his show at the Horse and Groom pub, Leyton Cross Road, Wilmington.
Among the unusual delights on offer, was Summer, a six-foot albino python and Rainbow, an eight-foot boa constrictor.
There was also a Columbian bird-eating spider and a nine-inch bullfrog.
Mr Green owns 14 snakes, three spiders, one toad and one frog.
The father-of-one, from Sidcup, said: "It was a great day.
"The snakes seemed to go down better with the kids."
He added: "They were a bit wary of the spiders."
Two events on May 29 and June 5 raised £830 for Cancer Research UK.
