MOTORISTS are being urged to remove valuable items from their cars to reduce the risk of them being targeted by thieves.
The warning comes from north Kent police following two recent incidents.
A £100 JVC car radio was stolen from a Mercedes Benz in Lewis Road, Istead Rise, Gravesend.
In another incident in Brook Road, Gravesend, offenders forced open a car door and escaped with sunglasses and a £100 Nokia mobile phone which had been left on display in the vehicle.
Police advise drivers to remove items of value from their cars, put shopping in the boot and lock all windows and doors before leaving the vehicle.
Anyone with information about the May 27 incidents should call Gravesend police station on 01474 565167.
