A SERIES of events has been organised to highlight the help available to carers.
Nationally, carers save the NHS £57bn a year by looking after their elderly or disabled friends or relatives at home.
The events, timed to coincide with National Carers' Week next week, will highlight the support and services available to those caring for others.
Activities include a young carers' evening, a carers' open day with advice available from professionals, a multicultural yoga group for male carers, an information evening and free taster sports sessions.
There are also plans for a barbecue and entertainment, a quiz night and an art and poetry competition.
For further details of all the events, call the carers' service on 01322 338582.
