A NEW market which promises to offer shoppers more choice has opened in a busy high street.
The first Best of British and Continent market took place in Eltham High Street on Sunday.
The stalls will be offering food, arts and crafts and plants from home and abroad.
Greenwich Council says it allowed a market after feedback from residents following a French Market in Eltham last December.
Deputy leader Councillor Peter Brooks said: "The market will complement other shops and bring in more visitors to the area."
