A PROJECT to make sure everyone in Bexley enjoys the benefits of a healthy lifestyle has been launched at a primary school.
Staff from the Bexley Care Trust and Bexley Council visited Barnes Cray Primary School, Iron Mill Lane, Crayford, as part of the Bexley Healthy Schools programme to launch Bexley's three-year health strategy.
The strategy includes working with communities to reduce smoking and drinking.
It also aims to tackle obesity and improving housing conditions.
Bexley's director of public health Dr Alison Barnett and Councillor Ron Brown watched the preparation of lunchtime smoothies made from fresh fruit.
During their lunchtime play, the schoolchildren took part in a skipping project and activities led by Charlton Athletic's Community Scheme.
