LITTLE Bo Peep and the Queen of Hearts were among the many nursery rhyme characters helping to raise cash for a new school.

The reception class children from St Peter Chanel RC Primary School, Baugh Road, Foots Cray, dressed up as their favourite nursery rhyme characters to help raise cash to build new classrooms.

They spent some of their day in the nearby Baugh House care home for the elderly.

The children entertained the residents with old and new rhymes.

They also invited parents and grandparents to the school and served home-made cakes and refreshments from their reception class cafe.

And after a fun-filled day, the children had managed to raise £105.
