NOW the festive season is over, residents are being urged to recycle their Christmas trees.
Bare Christmas trees will be collected and shredded for compost around Sevenoaks District if they are left outside homes for special collections throughout January.
Larger trees with trunks more than 5cm in diameter should be taken to Kent County Council's Pedham Place site in Swanley or Dunbrik Household Recycling site at Sundridge.
